Berry Patch News
June 19, 2022
After a very slow start, our blackberries are finally ripening at a very fast pace. From the first part of last week until now the "picking scale" has gone from a "2" to a "8"! You can pick a gallon of berries in about 20 minutes.
We now have lots of ripe berries. As a result, we will be OPEN EVERY DAY next week starting tomorrow, Monday thru Saturday (June 20-25), or until picked out. Check our website daily, and look for "what are we picking today."
The Berry Patch will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. However picking should be done between 7:30 and 11 a.m. to get the best berry quality and comfort for the "pickers." The Farm Store will be open to 5 p.m. each day. We still have lots of jellies, jams, syrup, olive oil, and honey, plus fresh eggs (while supplies last) and handmade crafts.
Pre-Picked Berries will be available on a limited basis. It would be best to call and order your Pre-Picks. We will call and let you know when they're ready for pick-up.
Pick-your-own berries are $4.00 per pound. Our 1-gallon bucket will hold approximately 4 to 5 pounds, depending on how full you make it.
Pre-Picked Berries are $6.50 per Quart (approx. 1 lb.).
Buckets are provided. We take cash, credit and debit cards, and in-county checks.
