Berry patch update – May 24, 2023
Hi everyone. Just wanted to give a update on our blackberry crop. We have lots of green and red berries. However, because of mild and cloudy weather the ripening of the berries has slowed down. A blackberry needs to be a shiny or dull black color to be ready to harvest. As of today ,May 24 we just don't have enough "black" berries to open up for u-pick.. We need sunshine and temps in the 80's.
Hopefully in another 5-7 days our supply of ripe blackberries will increase to the point that we can open for u-pick. We thank you for your patience.
We do have a few quarts of pre picked berries. If you need a couple quarts for a quick cobbler….then call us at 979-255-3693 (Carole's cell) or my cell at 979-255-3181.
As soon as we can announce a opening day, we will email our Berry Patch Newsletter…and post it on this web site.
Thank you
Steve and Carole Huebner
